That's awesome Debi! I would love to know what song you come up with . . . mine is "Shut It Down" by Pitbull :-) Getting clear on your intentions now is going to set you up for an amazing year, I'm excited to watch it unfold for you!

Nice Emiko! Thank you! I love this post. I am now thinking of a theme song for 2010 and which feeling that I want to choose to feel. I love that you wrote "check your intentions and make sure you are coming from a positve, full place rather than a needy, fearful place". Hmmm, that has me intrigued; I need to do self-coaching on that one. You really got me thinking here ;)

[...] You can try this same experiment for yourself. In fact, I encourage you to try it if the thought of seeing your belly bared or not sucked-up into your esophagus gives you hives. What are you making that extra flesh mean? When you feel good because your belly looks flatter, but feel crappy when your belly looks fuller, you are creating a lot of drama for yourself. Decide to feel good about yourself no matter what, pick a feature or quality you do love and focus on that, then look at your belly again. If you are completely held hostage by your thoughts about your body, check out my post, Does This Thought Make Me Look Fat.
Love this! The not-absorbing-others' energy is crucial when dealing with melting children. (In contrast, I've found when I stay "level" when my four-year-old dissolves, the ordeal doesn't last nearly as long -- and there's no negativity floating around.) Thanks for a wonderful post!

Sheila,

Thanks for your comment! I love "unique is the new normal"!! I already feel there is a swell of people living this new normal now and it's so exciting and so powerful. I think our children are definitely seeing this, it is so inspiring to think how they will contribute their own fabulous gifts and talents and shine, not just for themselves but for the benefit of everyone around them (and even those they don't know!). I get really amped up over this stuff :-)
